About Me
I became a Christian at age 18. However, most of my sin, and most of my struggles with pornography, sexual immorality, and adultery began after that. One would think a Christian shouldn't have those struggles. Especially one with a seminary degree who had served seven churches on staff, and had 20 years of ministry experience. But I did. And they led me to spiritual bondage through a long line of selfish choices, ungodly actions, and not knowing where to turn for help. Thankfully, Jesus knew! And He set me free on Feb. 19, 2017. This is the story of how Jesus Broke My Chains!
My Story
Unfortunately, my story is dark, ugly, shameful, and embarrassing. I wish it wasn't that way, but it is. If we all got to write our own stories, this is definitely not the story I would have written for my life. My story would have been much different. Much brighter. Much happier. But this is my actual story, not the one I wish I could have written. There is a degree in which we do get to write part of our stories, but our scripts come with some chapters already written in ink, which we cannot change, though we wish we could. Mine is not one of those stories where a person was...
About You
I don't know what you are dealing with in your life, and I don't know what chains may be holding you in their grasp. But I do know that Jesus loves to set people free from seemingly impossible circumstances and strong chains. It doesn't matter if you are in chains of shame, guilt, sexual immorality, drug addiction, or anything else. To Jesus, a chain is a chain. It also doesn't matter what the chain is made of. He can break them all! And even better, He wants to break them in your life! He wants you to walk in freedom, and He wants the glory for how you live your life!

GREG'S TESTIMONY
Greg Willis was born in Granbury, Texas. He grew up in Fort Worth, and graduated from high school in Weatherford. He then got his Associates degree from Weatherford College, and went on to Houston Baptist University, to prepare for the ministry. He graduated from HBU in 1986, with a double major in Christianity and speech. He then went on to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he graduated with a MDIVBL degree in 1993.

Along his journey, Greg had two events that deeply impacted his life in major ways. One was a head on auto collision while he as drunk, and the other was one of his two football bookies telling him that his body "would be floating in the Trinity river" unless he paid his $3600 debt. Both events happened in 1980, when Greg was 18 years old. They led him to give his life to Christ a few months later in January, 1981. The same year, he received and answered God's call on his life into the ministry.
Along the way, he served four churches as Youth Minister, and three small churches as Pastor. Though his love for Jesus was ever present, so were his constant battles with lust, pornography, promiscuity, and homosexuality. He experienced times of freedom, but the temptations, and the failures would always come back, until he encountered Jesus in his garage in 2017. This is the story of God intervening in his life, and setting him free!
